Abstract
Eremiothrips eshghii sp. nov. is described from Fars province, south of Iran, from specimens collected on a species of Ephedra (Ephedraceae). This new species seems to be related to E. efflatouni (Priesner, 1965) in having no long setae on the posterior angles of the pronotum in both sexes, as well as in the presence of biserially toothed processes on the tergum IX of males.
